Join us for the Benelux Packraft Meetup IV, taking place from February 21–24, 2025, at the picturesque Camping Kautenbach in Luxembourg. This event is a fantastic opportunity for packrafting enthusiasts of all levels to come together, share experiences, and explore the beautiful rivers of the region.

Private Coaching with Seon Crockford-Laserer - Want to take your packrafting skills to the next level? Private coaching sessions with Seon Crockford-Laserer will be available during the event. This is a unique opportunity to get one-on-one expert guidance, refine your technique, and boost your confidence on the water. Speak to Seon directly at the event to schedule. 

Event Highlights:

Friday, February 21: Packraft Safety and Rescue Workshop

  • A comprehensive training session suitable for both beginners and seasoned packrafters, aiming to build confidence for navigating whitewater rivers.
  • Held at MAVA, the whitewater training course near Liège.
  • The course will be conducted in English, with French and Dutch support.

Saturday & Sunday, February 22–23: Packrafting Adventures

  • Group paddling sessions tailored to various skill levels, with routes planned collaboratively.
  • Potential rivers include the Sûre from Martelange, Clerve (Clervaux to Kautenbach), and Wiltz (Wiltz to Kautenbach).
  • Evening social gatherings, including packrafting film screenings to inspire future expeditions.

Monday, February 24: Packraft Testival

  • An exclusive opportunity to test the latest packrafts from top brands such as Alpacka Raft, MRS, and Mekong.
  • Engage in gear discussions and hands-on trials on the river section adjacent to the campsite.
  • Note: The Testival will proceed based on interest; please indicate your participation during registration.

Accommodation:

Participants are responsible for booking their own accommodations at Camping Kautenbach, which offers:

  • Tent Pitches: Reserve your spot through the campsite's website.
  • Campervan Spaces: Available for booking directly with the campsite.
  • Cabins and Pods: Comfortable options for those preferring indoor lodging.

When booking, please mention "Benelux Packraft Meetup" to ensure group placement.

Safety Requirements:

Your safety is paramount. All participants must bring:

  • A CE-approved whitewater helmet.
  • A CE-approved whitewater Personal Flotation Device (PFD).

For those needing additional gear, drysuits (sizes S–XXL), PFDs, and helmets are available for rent. Please indicate your requirements during registration.

Support River Cleanup:

While registration for the meetup is free, we encourage participants to support River Cleanup, an organization dedicated to removing plastic and waste from our rivers. Donations can be made through their official platform.
