7 Day Expedition – Build on what you know and refine your skills, this is what packrafting is all about, paddle rivers, explore canyons, learn wild camping, bushcraft and survival skills and all in the surrounds of one of the most beautiful locations in Europe. The Tara River is not only one of the last wild rivers of Europe, it’s also one of the longest and deepest river canyon’s in the world (second only to the Grand Canyon in scope) at 78 kilometers in length and 1,300 meters at its deepest. The canyon is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is a part of Durmitor National Park.

**A videographer and a photographer/ journalist will be joining this trip with the goal to produce media content to help raise awareness of and protect the rivers of the Balkans. As such there will be times when they require extra time to get the shots and footage they need.
7 days, 6 nights (3-4 nights wild camping, first night & last night at river camp with bungalows hot showers and home cooked meals).
River: Maximum WW class III. The Tara is mostly class I to II with a few Class III rapids. All technical and Class III rapids will be scouted first and can also be portaged.

Your guide for this expedition will be Seon Crockford-Laserer (owner of Packraft Europe). Seon has many years experience as an expedition leader and outdoor guide, and holds the following certifications: 200GT Commercial Yacht Captain / NOLS, Wilderness First Responder (Advanced Expedition First Aid) / Rescue 3, Whitewater Rescue Technician (Professional) / IRF Raft Guide and IRF Inline Raft Trip Leader. English will be the spoken language during the expedition.
– All transport after arrival at Sarajevo Airport and until departure from Sarajevo airport.
– Accommodation and meals during the expedition.

– Flights or any associated travel costs to get to or from Sarajevo.
– Insurance costs.
– Alcohol or drinks at camp grounds or purchased during the expedition.
– Snacks or extra food or any extras purchased during or for the trip.
